On Friday November 23, "Theater Talk" welcomes Irish playwright/director Conor McPherson, who discusses his acclaimed new play The Seafarer, soon to reopen on Broadway at The Booth Theatre.

This production, produced by The National Theatre of Great Britain, "is a funny and chilling exploration of a soul-weary Irishman's grappling at Christmastime with both his dysfunctional family and demons of a more mystical kind," explain press notes.

Also on the program, Broadways master photographer Joan Marcus and writer David Cote (Theater Editor of "Time Out/New York") talk about their new book "Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons," the illustrated companion to the Tony Award-winning musical.

This episode of "Theater Talk" premieres Friday, November 23 on Thirteen at 1:30AM (note time) and repeats on CUNY TV on Saturday, December 1 at 8:30PM; Sunday, December 2 at 12:30PM; Monday, December 3 at 7:30AM, 1:30PM and 7:30PM.
