Schreiber to Tune Into Bogosian's Talk Radio on Broadway

Liev Schreiber will star in the first Broadway staging of Talk Radio, Eric Bogosian's play centered around a controversial late night talk radio host of in Cleveland. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin in January 2007 with previews in February at the Longacre Theater (220 West 48th Street). The production will be directed by Robert Falls, whose credits include Death Of A Salesman (Tony Award), Long Day's Journey Into Night, and Shining City.

Schreiber will play Barry Champlain, the controversial radio host. He was last seen on Broadway in the Tony Winning revival of Glengarry Glen Ross, for which he won the Best Featured actor Tony for his portrayal of Ricky Roma. His other recent stage credits include Macbeth, Harold Pinter's Betrayal, and Neil LeBute's The Mercy Seat. He recently made his directorial film debut with his adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer's Everything Is Illuminated. Major film credits include The Omen, The Manchurian Candidate, The Sum of All Fears, Hamlet, and A Walk On The Moon.

Bogosian's body of work includes Wake Up and Smell the Coffee, SubUrbia, Pounding Nails In The Floor With My Forehead, Sex, Drugs, & Rock N' Roll, and Drinking in America (Drama Desk Award). Talk Radio was a Nominated Finalist for the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The design team for Talk Radio is Mark Wendland (Sets), Laura Bauer (Costumes), and Christopher Akerlind (Lighting), and Richard Woodbury (Sound).

The producing team is Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and JAM Theatricals.
