Baltimore Playwrights Festival Monthly Meeting Set for 2/21 by BWW News Desk (Feb. 21 5:00 AM) - The Baltimore Playwrights Festival (www.baltplayfest.org) monthly public meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, at Fells Point Corner Theatre, 251 South Ann Street, Baltimore, MD 21042, 410-276-7837. After the meeting, at 8:30 p.m., there will be a staged reading of Holler by George P. Tilson, directed by Patricia Woolsey. The reading will be followed by a discussion of the script with the playwright, director and actors. The event is free, and the general public is encouraged to attend. |

BWW Reviews: Strong Portia and Shylock Redeem Confused MERCHANT at CSC by Jack L. B. Gohn (Feb. 20 10:18 AM) - In a play in which morally acceptable and unacceptable stances are hopelessly intertwined and might turn an audience off, there are two things that will draw us to the play anyway: Portia and Shylock. If they are right, the play will succeed, despite all its difficulties. They are right as can be in this staging. |

Silver Springs Stage Presents HAPGOOD, 2/24-3/17 by BWW News Desk (Feb. 19 6:05 PM) - Silver Spring Stage presents Tom Stoppard's Hapgood, directed by Doug Krehbel and produced by Natalie McManus, a funny and brain teasing espionage thriller set in the Cold War of secret research could be stolen. Dundalk Community Theatre Presents GO BACK FOR MURDER, 2/24-3/4 by BWW News Desk (Feb. 19 5:58 PM) - Dundalk Community Theatre brings to stage the classic “Who-done-it” Go Back For Murder, from Feb 24 to March 4th. From the pen of the master of suspense, murder and mystery, comes a lesser produced play with the final unraveling of the mystery as only Agatha Christie can do. Director Joey Hellman’s ensemble includes: Stephanie Marks, Mark Macaluso, Liz Armour, Elisa Dugan, Randy Dalmas, Tom Wyatt, Suzanne Young, Denis Latkowski, Brian Mellen and John Chrzanowski. Individual tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for senior adults and $15 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under. |
