Everyman Theatre has announced today that due to incredible demand and sold out houses, August: Osage County will be adding eight performances to its previously announced run. One of the most celebrated and critically acclaimed dramas in recent history, Everyman's production of August: Osage County has received rave reviews and standing ovations night after night. August: Osage County is the inaugural production in Everyman's brand new, state-of-the-Art Theatre on Fayette Street.
When Beverly Weston, the patriarch of the Weston Family, vanishes one hot summer night, the acid-tongued, pill-popping mother, Violet, summons her grown daughters and their families to reunite at the Oklahoma homestead. Dinner is served, lies are told, and long-held family secrets are unflinchingly revealed. Tracy Letts' comic-tragedy exposes the emotional destruction that rips through generations if nothing stops its path.
Renowned actress Linda Thorson, well known for her role in the television series The Avengers and over 40 years of experience on the New York and London stage, plays the matriarch of the Weston family, Violet. The production features Everyman Resident Company Members Clinton Brandhagen, Deborah Hazlett, Wil Love, Bruce Randolph Nelson, and Carl Schurr.
Single tickets for August: Osage County are now on-sale and range in price from $10 - $65.
