Broadway's Patrick Page, soon to be in seen in A Man For All Seasons and his wife, star of TLC's Trading Spaces, Paige Davis came out to support Operation Backpack. It is Volunteers of America's annual back-to-school drive that asks the general public to bring new backpacks to designated Drop Locations throughout the city. Over 70 New York businesses participate by engaging employees in backpack and school supply drives. The result is thousands of new backpacks, which volunteers fill with trade-specific supplies during Sort Week and distribute to kids in time for the start of the school year. (more...)

The Rupert Goold directed production is opening at the Duke of York’s Theatre on September 27th, 2008, with press night on October 7th, 2008. A Gate Theatre, Dublin production, No Man's Land will be presented by Sonia Friedman Productions and Michael Colgan, with design by Giles Cadle, lighting by Neil Austin and sound and music by Adam Cork. It’s a little too casual.
It applies well to some theatre songs but not for others.
It's perfectly fine.
It’s so derogatory that we’re taking back the word and reclaiming it! Those who love musicals can freely refer to them as showtunes, but those who don’t know Jerry Herman from Stephen Sondheim better not!
