THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS Lands at Westside Theatre; Opens May 3

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the provocative and wickedly funny theatrical adaptationof the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view will begin performances at the Westside Theatre, 407 West 43rd Street, New York, April 15. Opening is set for May 3. Tickets go on sale on Tues., Feb. 16. Tickets are currently on sale through July 4.

HBO Films will present the premiere of Caryl Churchill's A Number, which Churchill has adapted for the screen for the broadcast giant. The telefilm stars Emmy Award-winner Tom Wilkinson and Rhys Ifans in this shattering meditation on human identity, as it examines the issues of human cloning and nature vs. nurture. A Number premieres on HBO Signature on Tuesday, December 29 at 9pm.

The New York Times is reporting that Tony winner Jefferson Mays, Elisabeth Waterson, and Rocco Sisto will topline the cast in Theater for a New Audience's Measure for Measure. The production, which is being directed by Arin Arbus (who directed the theater company's Othello last season), will play the Duke on 42nd Street from February 6 - March 14. Opening night is February 14.
