Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Kicks Off Summer Season with Annual STAR-SPANGLED SPECTACULAR at Oregon Ridge, 7/3-7/4

(6/18/2013) - The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will kick off its summer season and the region's Independence Day celebrations with its annual Star-Spangled Spectacular, conducted by Maestro Robert Bernhardt onWednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 at 8 p.m. at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland.

Everyman Theatre Honored with 'Baltimore Heritage Historic Preservation Award'

(6/18/2013) - Everyman Theatre will be honored by Baltimore Heritage at the 2013 Preservation Awards Celebration on Thursday, June 20th. Everyman Theatre will receive an Adaptive Reuse and Compatible Design Award as part of Baltimore Heritage's 2013 historic preservation awards ceremony. Ian Tresselt, Everyman's Managing Director, will be attendance to receive the award.

(6/15/2013) - Everyman Theatre closes its historic 2012/13 season with a staging of the rarely produced comedic gem, The Beaux' Stratagem. Founding Artistic Director Vincent M. Lancisi directs the production, which features a large cast of 15 actors and includes Resident Company Members Megan Anderson, Clinton Brandhagen and Bruce Randolph Nelson. (6/14/2013) - The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 2013 Season is the year Broadway and Hollywood meet with all of the productions at the theatre being hits both on the silver screen and Great White Way. The season kicked off with the funny and heartwarming Steel Magnolias, followed by Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 - The Musical. Teaching Young Actors Presents SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, Opening Today

(6/14/2013) - Tickets are now on sale for Songs for a New World at Drama Learning Center in Columbia. This re-imagining by director Stephanie Lynn Williams and the TYA company turns the conventional interpretations of Jason Robert Brown's song cycle upside down by setting the piece in a future where Earth is on the verge of being destroyed and its history lost. Groups of people from various walks of life are selected for a mission to find a new world in the event that the planet is annihilated. Audiences will join them as they explore, remember, question, and move forward.

Spotlighters Offers 2013 Summer Young Actors Academy

(6/12/2013) - Training young actors for the stage and theatre through an academic and conservatory approach., this is a summer theatre intensive that offers theatre education and training to youth in the Baltimore metro area. Red Branch Theatre Co. to Launch New Summer Cabaret Series, 7/13

(6/10/2013) - Red Branch Theatre Company will hold its first series of one-night only cabaret performances this summer at Drama Learning Center in Columbia, MD. Each cabaret will consist of a solo or group headliner that regales audiences with a themed evening of songs and stories in a cabaret setting. Food and beverage will be available for sale before the show each night and during intermission. A cash bar will also be available for select performances.

(6/8/2013) - What possibly could be said or written about a production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Jr. that hasn't already been announced countless times? Probably nothing except the one word 'tradition' and that's the lasting essence of this theatrical phenomenon on two levels for this BRAVO@KAT student production. The show retells the ethnic traditions of a specific family but it has universal appeal. The 'tradition' here is a dual one because it includes the re-enactment of the cherished Broadway tradition of teaching new generations of American children the theatrical classics of our culture.
