On Thursday October 16th 2008, in honor of the opening of the revitalized Father Duffy Square and the new TKTS booth, the Theatre Development Fund(TDF) and the Times Square Alliance (TSA) hosted the Inaugural lighting of the red steps under which the TKTS booth sits, in celebration of the Broadway community. This marked the first time the newly designed glowing red staircase was lit for the public.

The dark comedy, written by Ronan Noone, directed by Justin Waldman and starring Campbell Scott as 'Augustine Early,' began performances at Culture Project's temporary new home, Barrow Street Theatre, on Tuesday, October 7th. It had an official opening Sunday evening, October 12.
Christy Carlson Romano -- the popular actress and recording artist who starred on Broadway in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and received an Emmy-nomination for her performance on the Disney Channel's 'Kim Possible' -- joined the Broadway cast of the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q last night, Monday September 29th. 'Lilli Marlene' a new musical featuring the hits of the WWII era starring Linn Maxwell, opened on Monday, September 22nd at the Abington Theater (312 West 36th Street). Directed by Erv Raible, with a book by Kathryn Ryan, the show features such songs as 'As Time Goes By', 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square', 'It Had To Be You', 'The White Cliffs of Dover', 'Mad About the Boy' and 'Lilli Marlene', which was made famous by legendary Marlene Dietrich.
