The Rainbow Room, a poignant, fictional comedy/drama inspired by a series of real life events endured by its author and director Sara Kumar whose encounter with Myxedema Madness during 2008 is sure to astound, will have its world premiere at Theatre Unlimited in North Hollywood, CA March 20 – April 11, 2010. The Rainbow Room is the first production of the newly formed Paragon Arts, a Los Angeles based non-profit organization dedicated to using the performing arts to find solutions, overcome barriers, and uplift the human experience.

Tony Award Winner B.D. Wong joins the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra to narrate Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait on an all-American program that celebrates the sixteenth president’s 201st birthday. Led by guest conductor Matthew Oberstein, the program includes Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with pianist Michael Boriskin, Copland’s Appalachian Spring, and Gould’s American Salute. The concert is Friday, February 12 at 8 PM, at Peter Norton Symphony Space.

The program, "The Sandbox" will present a series of bare bones productions of World Premieres. The Sandbox will be led by Jon Tracy, Director of Artistic Development, who will launch the 2010 series with two World Premieres by local playwrights.
