Pumpkin Theater's forty-second season opens with the classic tale of man meets wooden puppet in hopes of having a son. The run continues September 26 at 3:00pm, Sunday, September 27 at 1 and 3pm and October 3 and 4 at 1 and 3pm. Geppetto (Tomi Rinaldi) is a poor lonely woodworker who has made a puppet of a wooden boy. He wishes that someday he could have his own son - enter the Blue Fairy (Laura Weiss). The Blue Fairy gives life to the puppet and tells Geppetto that if his new son behaves and goes to school, she will grant his wish and turn the puppet into a real boy. Pinnochio (young talent Issac Lunt) is tempted from school in various and sundry ways, by various and sundry characters who lead him on a great adventure. Will Pinocchio stop misbehaving? Will Geppetto get his wish? From the belly of the whale will come the answer.

Pinocchio is directed by new Artistic Director, Jimi Kinstle, is musically directed by Mark Hanson-Williams with costumes by Wil Crowther. "Pinochhio is a classic tale of a boy who doesn't want to go to school and the hard lessons that brings. It's also a great story of believing in your children," says Kinstle.
