The dangers of a workplace romance are explored to hysterical effect in this romantic comedy (from the creators of DAMN YANKEES). Bright and brassy, this unconventional, fast-paced Broadway favorite is every bit the embodiment of legendary director George Abbott at his very best. The energetic score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross is brimming with songs and dances, which have become popular and musical theatre standards (among them "Hey There," "Steam Heat" and "Hernando's Hideaway") and features plenty of splashy, fun production numbers, including a comic "dream ballet." BEGUILED AGAIN St. Matthew's United Methodist Church 3/8-3/17/2013
The remarkable partnership of composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Lorenz Hart spanned twenty-four years, resulting in the scores for thirty stage musicals and nine films. While their songs are acknowledged as among the most sophisticated and witty of their time, they could also be stunning in their simplicity and directness. BEGUILED AGAIN illuminates the astonishing breadth of their output with a musical menu offering nearly fifty selections from the incomparable Rodgers and Hart songbook. This cleverly compiled potpourri juxtaposes the urbane and the melancholy, the sardonic and the romantic, providing ever-changing and contrasting emotional journeys that give this revue real momentum. There is no linear plot or 'and then they wrote' narrative. Rather, the songs are grouped thematically in ways that allow them to tell their own stories and reveal their splendor in the process. Variety and vigor have always been the Rodgers and Hart hallmarks. Perhaps their illustrious compeer, Irving Berlin (who also knew a thing or two about songwriting) summed it up best with his famous maxim: 'Tuneful and tasty, schmaltzy and smart - music by Rodgers, lyrics by Hart.'Music by Rodgers, Richard; Lyrics by Lorenz Hart; Conceived By J. FAME JR BRADDOCK MIDDLE SCHOOL 1/15-4/1/2013
From the hit motion pictures, television series, and international stage success, FAME is nothing short of a global phenomenon. Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984), FAME JR. is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today. With its topical subject manner, multi-ethnic cast of actors, singers, dancers and instrumentalists and high-energy, contemporary pop score (which includes the hit title song), FAME JR. is an ideal musical for young performers.

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time.Music by Rodgers, Richard; Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II; Book by Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse; Suggested by
