Dundalk Community Theatre Presents ALL SHOOK UP, 5/4-13

Dundalk-Community-Theatre-Presents-ALL-SHOOK-UP-54-16-20010101

Dundalk Community Theatre brings to stage the new musical comedy, set in the 1950's and based on the music of Elvis Presley: ALL SHOOK UP, from May 4 to May 13.

The show was created by one of Broadway's current favorites, Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, The Thing About Men, Memphis, Over the River…). Director Robert Oppel & Choreographer Vincent Musgrave's energetic cast includes: Sheriff Earl (Bobby Mahoney of Harve De Grace), Jim (Brian Jacobs of Baltimore), Dean (Jake Stuart of Baltimore), Lorraine (Joele Atkinson of Baltimore), Henrietta (Lisa Pastella-Young of Parkville), Sylvia (Rikki Howie of Gaithersburg), Mayer Matilda (Mary Elizabeth Mullin of Fallston), Miss Sandra (Rebecca Garrahy), Dennis (Jim Baxter of Ellicott City), Natalie (Logan Burke of Pasadena), Chad (Chris Zarbargashi of Baltimore). Individual tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for senior adults and $15 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under.

All Shook Up is a new musical comedy built around a number of songs made famous by Elvis Presley. It's not a biographical revue. It takes place in 1955, somewhere in middle America, where one girl's dream and a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger help a small town to discover the magic of romance and the power of rock & roll. Among the 24 songs featured in the score are classics like "Heartbreak Hotel," "Love Me Tender," "Don't Be Cruel," "Can't Help Falling in Love," "Teddy Bear/ Hound Dog", "That's All Right", "You're the Devil in Disguise", "Blue Suede Shoes", "Fools Fall in Love" and of course the title tune.

Show times are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday – May 4 – May 14 in the John E. Ravekes Theatre, K Building. For tickets and information, call 443-840-2787. Patrons requiring special accommodations are urged to notify the Box Office at least two weeks in advance. The CCBC Box Office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, or visit www.ccbcmd.edu/performingarts/dct.html.
